The hospitality and corporate design industries are highly competitive, and one of the biggest trends in things in ambient lighting has shifted from a supporting character to a focal impact in the experience from those considered in traditional activations. LED technology integrated into bar counters, cocktail tables and chairs has now moved beyond a decorative novelty to a substantive device for operators, to shape ambiance, communicate and reinforce brands, and influence customer behaviors.

More than a functional surface for drink preparation, an LED bar counter is the visual anchor of an establishment. Bar counters are made with a durable diffuser panel (usually polycarbonate or acrylic) sitting on top of a high-density strip system of RGBW (red, green, blue, white) LEDs. This configuration results in consistent, even light without hot spots. Most modern systems are DMX (Digital Multiplex)-controlled, RF remote-controlled (radio frequency), or come with proprietary software.

LED cocktail tables serve as the main social hubs in a space. Most tables have a central illuminated column or completely illuminated surface area, serving dual purpose of providing surface and some lighting effect. Illumination within seating units adds visual interest to the furniture, and is also exceptionally helpful to add ambient light levels while ensuring less reliance on high overhead lamps. This also creates a more flattering and inviting atmosphere for guests.
