Mickey Mouse is a cartoon character, created in 1928 by Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks. He is the official mascot of The Walt Disney Company. Mickey Mouse made his first official appearance in cartoon history in the landmark short film Steamboat Willie (1928), one of the first cartoons with synchronized sound.
