Best-selling Pop Mart store
As a leading brand in the trendy toy retail field, POP MART’s store design revolves around the “immersive trendy toy universe experience”. When designing, the designer will start with the spatial layout, material application, and lighting atmosphere creation, deeply integrating the artistic sense and collection attributes of trendy toys with the consumption scene, so that customers can enter a trendy toy world full of surprises and desire for exploration from the moment they step into the store. This not only fits the brand’s concept of “making trendy toys a lifestyle”, but also accurately captures the young consumer group’s pursuit of “check-in, experience, and social value”.

“Transparency + Focus” Design Logic
Transparency: The so-called transparency is to add a large area of transparent glass wall as the main interface to the design of the store, breaking the barrier between the space and the outside world, so that passers-by can directly see the dazzling array of trendy toys in the store, forming a “window effect” and naturally attracting attention. The edge of the glass is matched with the brand’s iconic warm yellow (or customized color) light strip to outline the store. When it is lit at night, it is like the “energy halo” of the trendy toy universe, enhancing the brand recognition.

Focus design: For example, like this design, a giant trendy toy sculpture (such as a MOLLY-themed giant doll) is set in the center or one side of the entrance as a visual anchor. The sculpture uses the brand’s classic IP, and the amplified presentation not only strengthens the brand symbol, but also creates a “check-in gimmick” – customers must interact with the giant trendy toys and take photos before entering the store, which naturally forms social communication materials and makes “trendy toy check-in” a store label.

Island counter with cartoon
Island counter design: The island in the middle of the store is mainly designed with arc-shaped and geometric islands of different heights. The countertop is made of bright materials (such as mirrored stainless steel and white paint) to reflect light and trendy colors, creating a “floating sense of trendy play”. Popular series of blind boxes and limited-edition trendy toys are placed in layers on the countertop, and small spotlights are used to highlight them, making each trendy toy the “protagonist” and stimulating customers’ desire to touch and buy.
Interactive function superposition: Some islands are integrated with “trial draw experience area” – customers can open the blind box on site to experience the “opening surprise”. If they are not satisfied after the trial draw, they can “change the box” (or re-seal it) through the store mini program, which not only increases the fun of consumption, but also prolongs the customer’s stay time and improves the purchase conversion rate.

Trendy toy art Wall
Combined display racks: Such display racks are designed on both walls of the store. Customized metal + acrylic combined display racks adopt staggered and embedded layouts, and can flexibly adjust the layer distance and angle according to the size of trendy toys (such as blind boxes, figurines, and giant trendy toys). Transparent acrylic shelves allow trendy toys to “float” on the wall, and the metal frame strengthens the industrial style texture, forming a collision with the artistic design of trendy toys.

Theme wall layout: The wall integrates the brand IP story scene – for example, the LABUBU forest theme wall, through green plant decoration and scene lighting (simulating forest light and shadow), the trendy toys are “integrated into the story”, and customers browse like “exploring different planets in the trendy toy universe”, strengthening emotional connection. Some walls are equipped with electronic screens to play interviews with trendy toy designers and production processes in a loop, deepening the understanding of “trendy toys = artistic creation”.

Simple and stylish cashier counter
Pop Mart continues the overall simple style, adopting an integrated streamlined countertop with brand-color light strips. A small trendy toy display stand is set above the cashier counter, displaying exclusive models and limited gifts to stimulate “last-second impulse purchases”. A “member experience corner” is set up next to the cashier counter, equipped with a touch screen device, where members can check points, redeem rights, and make appointments for new product trials. At the same time, brand member-exclusive peripherals (such as customized shopping bags and badges) are displayed to strengthen the “sense of honor of membership”, promote the conversion of ordinary customers into members, and accumulate private domain traffic.
