Convenience stores and coffee shops
Upon entering the store, the space is precisely divided into two core areas: the merchandise display area and the leisure and consumption area. The leisure area, with its warm yellow furniture as its visual core, features a combination of rattan chairs, yellow booths, and imitation marble tables. This not only satisfies consumers’ need for “instantaneous enjoyment of desserts and drinks,” but also creates a “snack and socializing” atmosphere through the “booth + scattered tables” layout (imagine, after buying ice cream, would you rather leave in a hurry, or sit down and savor it slowly in such an area?). The merchandise display area, primarily in “light wood + white,” creates a visual rhythm of “rational shopping + emotional experience” with the warm yellow of the leisure area, allowing convenience stores to break away from the stereotype of “buy and go.”

Island Shelves

The designers employed a light-colored solid wood frame with open, adjustable shelves. The warmth of the wood softens the coldness of the commercial display, evoking a sense of pleasure similar to browsing a boutique. The shelf height and depth were carefully tuned to accommodate a variety of items, including snacks and daily necessities, while also allowing each shelf to face the customer directly for easy access. Even more ingenious, the shelves feature a curved chamfer at the top, softening the harsh lines and creating a softer, more inviting space.

High-Rise Shelves Against the Wall
Choose a combination of metal brackets and white adjustable shelves. The metal brackets ensure structural stability and maximize vertical space utilization (after all, convenience stores often carry a large number of SKUs). The white shelves act as a canvas, highlighting the colors of the product packaging, creating a neat and organized appearance and making it easier for customers to find items.

Coffee Bar Area

The bar design is divided into a “self-checkout counter” and a “lounge bar.” The self-checkout counter features a matte white cabinet with black equipment modules, featuring clean lines and clearly defined functional areas (scanning, payment, and pickup areas are clearly visible), ensuring a smooth and intuitive process for customers. The lounge bar’s tabletop features a marble-like texture, offering a premium feel and is stain-resistant and easy to clean. The slender metal brackets underneath provide structural stability and create a contrasting texture with the surrounding rattan chairs and yellow booths (the natural feel of rattan, the softness of fabric, and the coolness of metal), adding a rich visual dimension. More importantly, the length and location of the bar are close to the leisure area. After consumers get their desserts and drinks, they can enjoy them here nearby, making the “purchase-experience” closed loop more convenient.

Illuminated display stand
Some display shelves in the store (especially those in the areas promoting specialty items like ice cream and trending snacks) feature embedded warm light strips. This design isn’t simply for the sake of brightness; it serves a clear consumer-oriented purpose:
When warm light shines on the products, it enhances the color saturation and texture of the packaging—for example, making ice cream packaging appear brighter and snack designs more appealing. From a consumer psychology perspective, localized accent lighting acts as a visual anchor, quickly capturing consumers’ attention and directing them to high-margin or featured items (imagine being drawn to a beam of warm light, then approaching and discovering your favorite ice cream. Wouldn’t that make you more likely to buy?). Furthermore, the combination of warm light and wooden display shelves elevates the display area from the cluttered, stocked-up feel of traditional convenience stores to a more boutique-like atmosphere, further enhancing the store’s perceived quality.

External part design

The exterior of this unmanned convenience store features a matte black metal façade, accented by linear light strips that create a clean, sleek silhouette. The white “Unmanned Convenience Store” logo stands out under the lights, imbuing the space with a sense of technology. The use of large expanses of floor-to-ceiling glass is a key design element. It not only maintains transparency from the street, allowing passersby to directly see the interior furnishings and ambiance, but also blurs the boundaries between inside and outside, creating an impression of openness and interaction.
1. Rattan Armchair: Made of imitation rattan, it offers a natural texture and breathable seating. The curved armrests are ergonomically designed for long periods of time without fatigue, setting the tone for a natural and comfortable lounge.
2. Yellow Booth: Filled with high-elastic sponge and covered in wear-resistant fabric, the warm yellow hue instantly brightens the space. The booth’s depth and backrest angle have been optimized to create a comfortable, enveloping experience, perfect for a short break.

3. Imitation Marble Dining Table: The tabletop features an imitation marble-grained board with a delicate texture, stain-resistant, and easy-to-clean surface. The round or square tabletop (adjustable depending on the setting) accommodates 2-4 people. The slender yet sturdy metal legs add a visually lightweight feel.
4. Center Island Shelf: Featuring a light-colored solid wood frame, open, adjustable shelves, and a curved chamfered top, it balances practicality for product display with a soft, inviting feel. 5. High wall shelves: metal brackets + white adjustable shelves, with stable structure and high space utilization. The white shelves can better set off the colors of the products and make the shelf area neat and orderly.
