When you put these elements together, you will find that the style of this space is actually a fusion of “retro court feel + modern light luxury” – it does not simply copy the complexity of the court style, nor does it only pursue the coldness of light luxury, but has found a balance point between the two.

The golden carvings and plaster lines are elements taken from the European court style, but they have all been simplified: for instance, there are fewer layers of carvings on the wall and the lines are more fluid, avoiding a bulky look. Marble and velvet materials are commonly used in the light luxury style, which not only ensure the texture but also do not appear overly flamboyant.

The base color is off-white, making the space appear spacious and not oppressive. Gold is an embellishment, enhancing the refinement without being excessive. Deep blue is a “neutral color”, which suppresses the possible “floating” effect of gold and also makes the overall color tone of the space more layered.

• Space’s circulation

From the floor plan, it can be seen that the entire space’s circulation revolves around the central bar counter: upon entering, one first sees the bar counter, then follows the display cabinets to the rest area. At every point, the line of sight can fall on different highlights, without any blind spots or a sense of space waste.

Store decoration design

The bottom layer features simple off-white rectangular frame lines, the middle layer is inlaid with golden reliefs in the style of scroll grass patterns, and the top layer is edged with more intricate patterns. The curvature of each carved pattern is very smooth, without sharp edges, maintaining consistency with the soft tone of the entire space. Near the rest area, several retro-style murals are hung on the wall. The pictures are in a darker tone (like the texture of old oil paintings), framed with golden frames. When placed there, it’s as if a fragment from the old days has been cut and embedded in the wall.

The most eye-catching items in the soft furnishings are those several pink decorative cherry blossom trees. The flower clusters are in full bloom, adding a touch of soft color to the off-white and golden space, preventing the entire environment from appearing too “cold”. These cherry blossom trees are not placed randomly but in the transitional zone between the rest area and the display area. They not only divide the space but also serve as visual “soft partitions”.

Chandelier design

The lighting in the rest area is even “soft” : spherical chandeliers are hung here, and the light from the white lampshades is very gentle, as if wrapped in a layer of velvet. The small spotlights on the ceiling have also been adjusted in brightness. They won’t directly shine on the guests’ faces but instead spread out along the arcs of the walls and the table. When sitting here, one won’t feel dazzled by the lights but rather a sense of comfort as if being wrapped up.

The chandelier in the central area is in the style of crystal tassels. The hanging crystal strips refract fine light along the light, as if the starlight has been crushed and hung on the ceiling. Especially at night, the light of these crystal chandeliers will echo the LED light strips at the bar counter, transforming the atmosphere of the entire space from “refined” to “romantic”.

Central circular bar counter

The countertop of this circular bar counter is made of off-white marble with a natural light grey texture. Each texture extends along the arc of the bar counter, as if the flowing texture is sealed in the static stone surface. The edge of the countertop is edged with a 1-centimeter-wide golden metal strip, which not only enhances the durability of the countertop but also adds a layer of delicate warmth to the cold and hard marble – especially when the light shines, the metal strip will emit a soft luster, which just neutralizes the cold tone of the stone.

• Functional area

The functional zoning of the bar counter is very ingenious. In the central area of the countertop, there are coffee machines, beverage machines and other operating equipment. The black body and the light tone of the marble form a low-key contrast. Near the outer circle, packaged products are stacked (as can be seen from the picture, the neatly arranged paper boxes are placed), which not only makes it convenient for customers to take them at will but also serves as a kind of “dynamic display”.

The bottom of the bar counter is not made with a traditional closed cabinet, but is embedded with a circle of embedded LED light strips. Warm yellow light shines through from under the countertop, forming a halo along the arc of the bar counter. At night, this circle of light is like a “soft light filter” surrounding the bar counter, instantly making it “jump” out of the surrounding environment.

Velvet sofa table

The sofa is made of deep blue velvet material. It feels soft and cozy to the touch. When sitting on it, you will sink into the just-right softness, neither too flat nor too hard. The single chair features a white wooden frame with light scroll patterns engraved on it. The seat cushion and backrest are made of velvet in the same color as the sofa, maintaining a unified overall tone while adding a touch of lightness.

• Shape design

The tabletops of the tables are all made of off-white marble with light gray textures, which echoes the materials of the bar counter and display cabinets. However, the table legs are designed with curved golden metal, not rigid straight lines, which just echoes the arc-shaped elements in the space (such as the circular bar counter and the arc-shaped walls).

• Table and chairs

The combination of tables and chairs in different areas also varies: near the display cabinet, there are small tables for two people, which are suitable for guests who come alone. Around the central bar counter are round tables for four people, which are convenient for small gatherings with friends. The sofa area in the corner is for multiple people, even equipped with a large marble coffee table, which is suitable for a group of people to sit and chat.

Display cabinets and storage cabinets

The long display cabinets arranged along the wall are the “silent showers” in the space. They do not steal the spotlight from the central bar counter but pay sufficient attention to the details of the display. The base of the display cabinet is also made of off-white stone, but the cabinet body is surrounded by transparent glass, and the frame is made of golden metal consistent with the bar counter. This material contrast ensures that the elements of the entire space do not appear “scattered”.

• Inside design

The interior of the display cabinet is designed with layers, each of which is embedded with narrow LED light strips. The warm white light just shines on the displayed pastries or products, which is neither too dazzling nor too dazzling, and can clearly set off the color and texture of each item: for example, for the small pastries on the bottom layer, the texture of the puff pastry on the surface can be seen when the light shines on them. The patterns on the paper boxes of the upper-layer packaged products can also be clearly seen.

• Storage design

Under the display cabinet is the most easily overlooked “hidden talent” design: instead of making open compartments, it is designed as a hidden storage cabinet. The cabinet door uses the same off-white decorative panel as the wall, with only a very thin golden line left at the edge as a mark. If you don’t look closely, it will almost blend in with the wall. This design not only meets the storage needs (such as storing packaging materials and cleaning tools), but also does not disrupt the overall sense of tidiness – after all, for a space of this style, “disorder” is the most undesirable.
