AirGo gift shop design created this by emphasising customer movement, using flexible displays, and utilising a thoughtful design to create shop that sell both types of products.

Gift Shop Design

Gift shops design should not only be visually stunning; their design should also effectively showcase the merchandise, support large amounts of customer traffic, and enhance brand identity within the store. By focusing on the principles of minimalist industrial chic style, AirGo developed a second gift shop design that focuses on functionality first and foremost. The foundation colour scheme consists of dark gray walls with black trim and light wood veneer, creating a neutral palette. The use of light wood veneer provides warmth to counterbalance the cold, hard lines associated with industrial design; thus creating a warm and friendly, yet premium feel.

Tailored Display Fixtures

Display fixtures in gift shops often showcase and emphasize original and unique items while also providing a good fit within the design of the space. The core gift shop are generally represented by the wall showcases; therefore, they serve as the main components in a gift shop design. The light wood veneer frame and black back provide a suitable backdrop for showcasing products, thereby complimenting the shop’s overall aesthetic.

The display table has been created to be flexible. Its rounded edges provide a higher level of safety than a rectangular shape, and its lightweight construction makes it easy for store personnel to easily move and reposition it. During non-peak sales periods, display table can be positioned more widely apart from one another to encourage browsing. During peak sales seasons, display table are generally placed in close proximity to the entrance to facilitate highlighting of seasonal gift items.

Low-profile display shelf is located nearly to the wall. This method of display shelf has the effect of allowing more merchandise to be displayed for sale. The black lacquered MDF display shelf also compliment the general decorate of the gift shop. The adjustable shelving feature and modular design allow for more layout possibilities within the gift shop. Thus, making it easy to change the layout or update the styles used within the gift shop design.
