Nice ice cream shop

The design of the entire ice cream store seems to follow the rhythm of a “retro and modern mix” : there is no rigid style definition, but a few core elements are used to weld the tone very steadily. The main colors are warm orange, soft pink and light lotus green with just the right saturation. White bricks, raw wood and black metal are used as the base, which not only make the colors vivid but also prevent the space from looking messy.

The most wonderful part is the repeated appearance of the “arch” element – the bar counter niche is an arch, the seating area partition is an arch, and even the shape of the door is an arch, as if hiding a gentle code, making each area seem independent but actually connected into a coherent whole.

Retro bar counter

The countertop of this ice cream shop is light wood in color, with a circle of warm yellow light strips embedded around the edge. When it lights up at night, the light spreads along the wood grain, making the pinkish-white illuminated logo of “cream stone” look particularly soft and gentle. Above the countertop is a transparent showcase, with the glass polished to a shine. Inside, there are cold light spotlights, illuminating the colors of each box of ice cream brightly: the pink of strawberries, the green of matcha, and the brown of chocolate. It’s as if a palette is neatly placed here, making people want to place an order without getting too close.

On the wall beside the display cabinet, several niches with arched edges were excavated. Each niche was surrounded by a circle of small light strings, inside which were placed ingredient jars, wrapping paper, and even posters with menus printed on them. The warm yellow light wrapped around these small items, which not only made it convenient for the staff to take them but also served as decoration for the wall.

There is also a white refrigerated cabinet embedded on the left side Of the bar counter. A yellow poster of “All House Of” is pasted on the glass door, which echoes the orange-yellow floor mat on the ground. If you don’t look carefully, you might think it’s decoration, but in fact, it hides more raw material reserves.

The high table area at the entrance

As soon as you enter the door, on your right is this area: a white brick wall as the base, with a few thin emerald green decorative panels embedded on it. The arched arc on the panels just catches the chandelier above your head. The lamp is of a retro style. A metal frame is wrapped in a greenish-blue glass cover. Warm light diffuses through the glass and falls on the glass of the table, giving off a soft glow.

The table has a small round glass surface and its legs are copper-colored conical – it saves space and has a touch of retro metal texture. Below, there is a bench of the same color series. The bench surface is hidden behind the mint green decorative board, with only the warm yellow light strip edges exposed. This area is especially suitable for one person to enjoy ice cream: there’s no need to follow others’ pace. Just place the bag close to your lap, and you can see the hustle and bustle of the bar when you look up. When you look down, you can sit at your own small table, feeling very at ease.

Pink and orange sofa area

A little further in, there is an area wrapped in soft pink and warm orange: the door is a pink round arch, with black lines drawn around the door frame, as if it had been cut out of an old picture magazine. The wall is inlaid with a row of pink arched designs, with fine golden edges drawn along the edges. Behind it is a white wall, and the sense of layering is immediately created.

The sofa is made of velvet, half warm orange and half soft pink. It is so soft that it can support your waist when you sink in. Most of the people sitting here are two or three friends in groups. Their arms are placed on the armrests of the sofa, and they dig the same bowl of ice cream together. Even their voices become soft as they speak. The table has a small round glass surface and is equipped with conical legs of the same color, echoing the elements of the high table. However, due to the softness of the sofa, it adds a touch of laziness.

Partitioned seating area

The innermost booth area is a hidden “little privacy” : black arched partitions divide the space into three small areas, each of which is against the wall – the lower part of the wall is small green tiles, and the upper part is light brown vertical striped boards. A round mirror is embedded in the middle, and the light on the opposite side is reflected in the mirror, making the not-so-large space appear much wider.

The sofa is a double warm orange velvet style, wider than the single sofas outside. There is a small round table beside it, with small green plants placed on it. The lamps above are in a string of three lantern-style ones. The warm yellow light is wrapped in a metal cage and falls on the sofa like a layer of velvet carpet. This area often sees young couples or best friends: the partition blocks the view from outside, but it doesn’t block the warm light from the store, which is just right for a peaceful whisper.
