Island Shape

This eyewear island display uses an oval, or elliptical, footprint designed for the center of an optical retail floor. Customers can approach and browse from every side without a fixed front or back. The base constructs from light oak wood veneer formed around a curved internal frame, with hinged storage doors concealed along the curved face. A white engineered stone band forms the middle display surface, and two tiers of curved clear tempered glass rise above it to hold frames at staggered heights. The standard island measures 1400mm long, 800mm wide, and 1100mm high, and the oval dimensions adjust to the available floor area.

Glass Tiers

Two tiers of curved tempered glass follow the oval outline of the island and provide open display surfaces for optical frames and sunglasses. Each glass tier is 8mm tempered safety glass with polished edges, supported by discreet metal brackets fixed to the internal frame. The staggered tier heights keep every pair visible from a standing position and allow up to 40 frames around the full oval. Warm white LED strips mount under each tier to wash light across the level below. The glass tiers remove for cleaning or for reconfiguring the display layout, and additional tiers can be added during custom production.

Mirror & Storage

An oval rotating mirror mounts on a brass stand at the center of the top surface, letting customers try frames and view themselves from multiple angles. The mirror rotates 360 degrees and tilts for height adjustment; frame finish options include brass, brushed nickel, matte black, or chrome. The curved wood base conceals enclosed storage behind push-latch doors for backup frames, cases, lens cloths, and tools. Internal curved shelves follow the oval interior to maximize storage volume. The stone surface is sealed and wipe-clean, and the wood veneer is finished with a durable clear coat.

Floor Planning

This island suits optical shops, optician practices, and sunglass boutiques as a central browsing and fitting station. Pair it with wall displays and additional optical shop counter furniture to complete a coordinated eyewear store design. The rounded form has no sharp corners and works well in open customer traffic paths. Multiple islands can be spaced to create guided browsing routes. Combine with LED lighted display cases for stronger product illumination.
