The layout of this store follows an “open” style, without any complex corners or partitions. The entrance is directly opposite the reception desk on the right side, making it convenient to check out and consult at the first time. The front and the left side are floor-to-ceiling wall cabinets, directly laying the core product area within the line of sight. In the middle, 2 to 3 groups of central island cabinets are scattered, which neither block the passage from the entrance to the depth nor divide the large space into several “small display areas”.

Shop space layout

Deep in the store, a full glass curtain wall is left. When natural light comes in, it spreads along the white marble floor onto the wall cabinets – the originally dark wood-grain wall now has a soft light effect, and the colors of the products inside the cabinets also become more vivid.

The functional zoning is also hidden in the layout: on the left side of the entrance is the water pipe and traditional tobacco section, in the middle is the cigarette cartridges and new tobacco devices section, and by the window is the display area for high-end brand products. Customers can naturally visit all categories by following the route without having to go back and forth.

The most eye-catching part is the “Brand Zone” in the middle – for instance, the specially marked “IQS” area, with independent small compartments enclosed by black metal frames, and red cigarette cartridges neatly arranged, forming a contrast with the surrounding light-colored packaging. Without the introduction of the staff, customers can immediately identify the zone at a glance.

The “Regular Cigarette Cartridge Area” beside it is a full-length layer board, with each layer embedded with LED light strips. The lights shine from bottom to top, making the color of the cigarette cartridge packaging more saturated. They are arranged in rows, neat yet not monotonous.

The “hookah shop area” on the left has been “layered and adapted” : the upper layer is the display area for hookah flasks. The cabinet body has an arc-shaped groove that just clamps the base of the flasks, preventing irregular utensils from looking messy. The lower layer is the water pipe tobacco packaging area. The height of the shelves perfectly matches the size of the cigarette boxes. When the boxes are lined up one by one, the red and yellow packaging forms regular color blocks, which are refreshing and eye-catching.

On the right side, the “Brand logo Wall Cabinet” has a logo position (such as the alnaeem logo) reserved above each unit. The corresponding shelves only display products of that brand – customers with fixed preferences do not need to search one by one; they can simply align with the logo to get what they want.

Central island display cabinet

Most of these central island cabinets are a combination of “transparent glass + thin metal racks” : the countertop is made of fully transparent glass, allowing customers to clearly see the pipe holders and small pipes inside. The stand is made of slender black metal and doesn’t look heavy. Even when placed in the middle of the space, it doesn’t feel clogged.

The design beneath the cabinet is more practical: open squares are embedded with traditional tobacco bags wrapped in woven bags. The rough woven texture contrasts with the overall light luxury style, highlighting the “original feel” of traditional tobacco without looking out of place.

Some of the central island cabinets are designed with “layered storage” : the upper layer is an open display stand for experience items, and the lower layer is a storage compartment with a door for spare inventory. Store staff don’t have to run to the warehouse; they can simply reach out to replenish goods, which is both convenient and minimizes disturbance to customers.

Reception desk

The reception desk has no complex design but a simple black and white color scheme – the countertop is black marble and the cabinet body is white matte board, which perfectly echoes the wood-grain walls and marble floor, and does not steal the spotlight from the surrounding display cabinets. The brand name “ALKHAWAJA” is printed right in the middle of the cabinet, in a simple sans-serif font, which perfectly matches the modern style.

Cabinet with LED light

Lighting is the “invisible design hand” : recessed downlights are responsible for basic lighting to ensure that the space is bright enough. The track lights are specifically aimed at the display cabinets, concentrating the light on the products. The LED light strips inside the display cabinet are the “finishing touch” – the wall cabinet layer board lights make the packaging color more saturated, and the internal lights of the central island cabinet allow the products under the glass counter to also be seen. Moreover, the light is a warm white light, neither dazzling nor dim, which perfectly highlights the texture of the tobacco packaging and the metallic luster of the smoking utensils.
