Green theme restaurant design

restaurant design

The roughness of industrial style, the softness of nature and the practicality of daily life are all integrated into this space of just a few dozen square meters. From the bar counter to a single lamp, every piece of furniture and decoration seems to be “placed casually”, but when you get closer, all of them reveal hidden thoughts. Today, let’s take a look at the design details of this store. From the bar counter to the tables and chairs, from the display cabinets to the lighting, everything is worth copying.

Industrial bar counter

restaurant design

  • Solid wood boards with oak grain

The countertop of the bar counter is made of 1.8cm thick solid wood with oak grain. It feels the natural wood grain texture to the touch. The edges have been rounded and polished by 5mm, which is neither rough to the touch nor does it retain the roughness of the wood. The countertop is a light natural wood color, which just neutralizes the coldness of the surrounding metal and cement. You can even smell a faint wooden scent (because of the clear varnish sealing layer, it won’t deform due to moisture).

restaurant design

  • Corrugated galvanized metal sheet

The front and sides of the bar counter are made of light grey corrugated galvanized steel plates, which have a cold and hard yet fine texture. They are not only dirt-resistant and easy to clean (oil stains can be wiped off with a wipe), but also the corrugated texture can weaken the “coldness” of the industrial style, echoing the cement texture of the wall.

  • Dark green tile backboard

The backboard of the operation area is a single piece of dark green glossy tile. The luster just reflects the ceiling light and green plants, creating a “visual echo” with the hanging rattan vines – it doesn’t make the industrial style seem too “dry”, but instead exudes a touch of freshness.

Functional zoning

Operating area (inner side) : Height 90cm

It perfectly matches the operation habits of adults. The sink and equipment are embedded under the countertop. The corrugated metal plate makes the messy pipelines “invisible”, which is both convenient and tidy.

Serving area (outer side) : Height 80cm

It is 10cm lower than the operation area, so customers don’t have to bend over to get their meals, which is more comfortable. A 2-cm wooden edge banding has been added to the edge of the serving area to prevent tableware from slipping off. The details are very considerate.

Table & chair set

restaurant design

  • Table

Round solid wood table + cast iron base. The tabletop is a round shallow wooden table with a diameter of 60cm, which is just right for 2 to 3 people. The table legs are black cast iron bases (with anti-slip pads), looking heavy but actually very stable and won’t shake.

restaurant design

  • Chair

The chair with a slender metal wire frame is made of 1.2mm iron wire frame and painted in macaron color series (light yellow, mint green, dirty orange) – the key point is “slender” : the design of the wire frame makes the chair almost “not take up visual space”, and even if it is placed more densely, it will not feel oppressive. Moreover, the surface treated with powder coating is not prone to peeling off, and the load-bearing capacity when sitting on it is also sufficient (I have personally tested and found that sitting on 150 pounds is completely fine).

Booth set

restaurant design

  • Backrest

Dark green soft package + leather straps. The backrest of the booth is made of 10cm thick dark green PU soft fabric. It feels just right in elasticity and won’t hurt your waist even after sitting for two hours. The soft package is fixed to the wall with dark brown leather straps. The metal buckle of the straps is an aged style, which matches the rough feel of the industrial style just right.

  • Stool

Log bench. The stool is a wooden long bench in the same color as the bar counter, with a thickness of 5cm. Its surface has undergone matte treatment, which won’t stick to fingerprints like the glossy one. At the same time, it forms a “hard and soft contrast” with the soft package of the backrest, providing a more layered sitting experience.

restaurant design

  • Wall base

Hand-plastered cement walls. The wall behind the booth is a hand-plastered cement wall. It is not the “neat texture” of prefabricated slabs, but has a mottled feel with traces of handwork. When touched, it has a fine granular texture, which contrasts with the fineness of the soft packaging and instead gives it a more textured feel.

Display cabinets

restaurant design

1.Embedded design: Seamless connection with the bar counter

The display cabinet is a custom-made built-in type, with a depth of 40cm and a height of 80cm. It is precisely embedded in the gap of the bar counter, flush with the wooden countertop and metal side of the bar counter, and does not look “redundant” at all.

2.Material details: Practicality and aesthetics are taken into account

The cabinet body is made of black metal frame, and the glass is double-layer tempered (with good heat preservation to prevent desserts from spoiling). The interior is covered with silver reflective film, and it is equipped with surface mount LED lights – when the lights are turned on, the cakes and sandwiches inside will look particularly appetizing, and the light is warm white, unlike cold light which makes the food look “cold”.

3.Convenient operation: sensor-activated lighting + sliding door

The display cabinet is designed with sliding doors, so you don’t have to worry about it taking up space when opening the door. The LED lights inside are sensor-activated. They light up automatically when the cabinet door is opened, so you don’t have to fumble in the dark to find the switch when taking out food. The details are very practical for real-world scenarios.

Decor design idea

The “beauty” of this pizza store does not come from piling up decorations, but from creating an atmosphere through the contrast of materials – the roughness of the industrial style is all “softened” by these soft furnishings.

Several clusters of highly realistic wisteria are hung on the ceiling pipes. They are placed in flower boxes made from old wooden boxes: 1) The leaves of the wisteria have very fine textures and do not look “fake”. When they hang down, they just cover the exposed pipes (although industrial-style pipes look good, they will look messy when exposed). 2) The flower boxes are recycled old wooden crates with aged scratches on the surface, which perfectly match the rough feel of the industrial style. They are very charming without any additional decoration.
