How can you make your clothing store more interesting and practical? The design of this children’s clothing store is different. All the furniture, display cabinets and counters were designed through communication between the designer and the client as well as the design vision.Considering this is a children’s clothing store, you will notice that every detail is filled with “child-friendly”.

For instance, the edges have been rounded and polished, so even if a child bumps into them, it won’t hurt. Adjust the height to the level of an adult’s thigh, so that parents can easily reach it by bending over and children can stand on tiptoe. The rest area in the middle features soft padded low stools in pink, blue and white. The skin-friendly fabric is just right to support the tired steps from walking.

Central clothing display stand

The display stand in the center of the store is symmetrically laid out with a colorful rest area at the center – it not only makes the movement as smooth as walking in a circle but also allows for easy access to clothes. The display stand is a two-tier structure: The upper platform is specially designed for stacking children’s clothing of the current season. The knitted sweaters are neatly arranged by color series. A fabric doll and the same style hair band will be placed on the platform, creating a full sense of “complete set matching” atmosphere. The lower layer is an embedded drawer. The panel is printed with patterns of light pink little clothes and round little pears. It not only fits the childlike positioning but also can hide spare inventory, keeping the countertop always clean and tidy.

Suspended display cabinet

The hanging cabinets in the store follow a “light design” approach – the white fine metal frame is like an “invisible rod”, not making the space stuffy, but rather giving a sense of transparency. The hanging rods are made of light brown wood, polished to a smooth finish. When paired with clothes hangers of the same color, they neither scratch the clothes nor create a “hard and soft balance” with the metal frame.

Some hanging rods have added storage boards under them, with a light pink cloth pad laid underneath to display folded pants and cartoon socks, making the display more layered. The arc-shaped decorative sign at the top is the “finishing touch” : it features a little bird with a heart in its beak and round little clothes. The light pink and light blue tones strike a chord with “childishness”, and the height of the hanging pole is just right – adults can reach it with their hands, and children can also clearly see the patterns on the clothes by looking up.

Embedded wall cabinet

The wall was not decorated in a closed manner. Instead, several sets of wall cabinets were embedded – turning the “idle wall” into a “display area” without occupying the corridor space. One of the groups is the “Shoe and Clothing combination cabinet”.

The left layered shoe rack is embedded with warm yellow light strips. Small leather shoes and soft-soled shoes are arranged by size. When the light is turned on, the softness of the leather and the softness of the fabric are all highlighted. On the right is a small hanging area, featuring baby jumpsuits. Next to it are two decorative paintings – a little bear holding a honey jar and a leopard-print dress, turning the wall into a “background that tells stories”.

Another group is the “open + closed” cabinet: open shelves display seasonal knitted hats and scarves. The closed frosted glass door not only allows you to see the outline of the clothes but also prevents dust, making it perfect for storing “inventory to be displayed”. The frame of the wall cabinet is light wood color, echoing the hand-painted small houses and cars on the wall, as if the “childlike fun paintings” have been embedded in the cabinet.

Clothing Storage

For the design of the entire children’s clothing store, lockers are indispensable. Lockers can store the inventory of corresponding series or the same style of clothing inside. In this way, customers and staff can get the clothes at any time. The display of these large wardrobes designed in the middle of the store is the most worthy of attention. Generally, few designers would create such tall and creative wardrobe displays in the middle of a store. At the top is a display of cartoon stickers, and below are hanging clothes hangers. Each link turns into a commercial clothing hanger. At the very bottom is a storage cabinet designed for clothing, so some packaged clothes or inventory can be placed inside in an orderly manner.
