As you push the door and enter the store, the colorful terrazzo floor instantly catches your eye – as if the colorful sugar grains of ice cream are spread directly under your feet. The colors and shapes of all the furniture echo this “sweet base”, from the exterior to the interior, together constructing a coherent and unified “dream sweet world” theme, allowing customers to be enveloped by the “sense of pleasure” conveyed by the space from the first second they step in.

Wood Grain Ice Cream Bar

The bar is the heart of the ice cream shop. This design features an L-shaped, light-colored bar. Made of warm, light wood panels, the bar counters the soft, pale purple walls while adding a rustic warmth to the space through the natural texture of the wood.

The bar’s location is crucial—it’s positioned to the side of the center of the shop, rather than against the wall. This design offers two key benefits:

1. Operational efficiency: The bar’s operational areas (such as the ice cream making station, cone storage bin, and cash register area) can be efficiently utilized by staff, shortening the travel time from preparation to serving. Furthermore, the bar’s proximity to the center provides staff with a wider view of the entire shop, allowing them to more readily attend to customer needs.

2. Customer interaction: No matter from which angle customers enter the store, they can quickly see the bar, making it easy to place orders immediately. In addition, the glass display cabinet in front of the bar (a multi-layer design that clearly displays various desserts and snacks) allows customers to directly see the appearance of ice cream and desserts, instantly stimulating their desire to buy. This is more “tempting” than just a menu picture.

Suitable Tables and Chairs

The tables and chairs in the guest area feature a minimalist Nordic style. The tables are constructed from a light white matte board, which is stain-resistant and easy to clean (ice cream shops inevitably get spills of sauce and stains, and this material greatly reduces cleaning difficulties). The chair frames are made of white metal, whose slender lines add a sense of lightness to the space. The metal’s stability ensures it can withstand heavy loads, making it comfortable even for extended periods of sitting.

The most striking feature is the color scheme of the chairs: the light purple and grass green fabric upholstery perfectly reflects the shop’s “Purple Forest” theme, while also creating a sense of depth by differentiating the seating areas. The cushioning is also very sturdy, providing a soft yet comfortable feel, allowing customers to enjoy their desserts comfortably.

Booths and sofas

The booth area is key to enhancing the shop’s atmosphere and capacity. It features a light wood frame and dark purple upholstery. The light wood frame continues the bar’s material palette, creating a unified overall style. The dark purple upholstery complements the main wall color, creating a visually layered effect.

The booth’s back wall is a highlight: a curved shape complemented by a tropical mural (flamingos, palm leaves, and other elements). The curved shape softens the harshness of the corner and adds a softer feel to the space. The mural creates a “forest resort” feel, as if customers are enjoying a sweet treat in a tropical garden rather than ice cream, significantly enhancing the immersive experience.

The small tables in front of the booths are compact and elegant, making them convenient for single or double diners to place plates and drinks without overcrowding the space. For larger groups, the long booth layout can easily accommodate 4-6 people, maximizing space utilization.

Sweet Wall Decorations

The walls are free of overly complex designs, instead featuring a combination of neon decorations and art murals. A warm, ice cream-shaped neon sign on the light purple wall not only highlights the “ice cream shop” theme but also creates a warm and soothing atmosphere at night, making the shop a focal point. The tropical mural in the booth area tells a story through color and pattern, evoking a sense of relaxation and sweetness both visually and emotionally.

Wall cabinets and displays

Light wooden shelves are embedded in the green tile wall behind the bar to store tableware, raw materials and other items, keeping the bar operation area tidy at all times and avoiding clutter that affects the customer experience. The glass display cabinet in front of the bar is not only a “product display window”, but the cabinet below also serves as a “storage function”, where spare egg cones, packaging materials, etc. are hidden, making the space look more refreshing. At the same time, the transparency of the glass also makes the entire area appear more spacious.
