Cosmetic store

The milky white light wraps around the soft and warm light of the light wood. The rose gold lines sparkle with a fine light in the corner. Even the skin care products on the shelves seem like “daily necessities” carefully placed on the shelves. The design of this store is never as simple as “piling up products”. Instead, it breaks down “comfortable shopping” and “pleasant viewing” into every detail. From the overall to the local, it quietly tells customers: You can take your time to browse.

Overall design

This store has chosen a tone of “warm light luxury + light nature” : the main colors are cream white and light wood color, like a soft filter covering every corner – the walls are matte cream white, the shelves have light wood grain, and even the marble on the floor is selected in a light grain warm white style. Walking on it feels soft underfoot and visually is not cold and stiff.

The use of accent colors is extremely restrained: rose gold only appears on the cut surfaces of counters, the edges of shelves and the borders of mirrors, giving off a fine and lustrous glow under the light without stealing the show. The low-saturation avocado green is hidden in the walls of the trial area and the borders of the signboards, like a “breathing hole”, neutralizing the soft and flat feeling of the milky white and light wood, adding a touch of vitality to the space.

Reception desk design

The reception area is not a “counter blocking the entrance”, but a “buffer zone for the facade” : the long counter is mainly in cream white, with a slanted rose gold decorative surface on the front – this cut surface just avoids the weightiness of traditional counters, giving off a fine glow under the light, and the eyes will be unconsciously attracted when passing by.

Behind the counter is a full-length continuous marble background wall, with the metal illuminated letters “Ellie Beauty” embedded in the middle. Warm yellow light spreads out from the edge of the letters, highlighting the texture of the marble. No filters are needed for taking photos.

The embedded shelves on both sides are thoughtfully designed: the inner layer is equipped with warm white light strips, which make the facial masks and set boxes on the top look more textured. When taking them out, you won’t be flustered due to dim light. The adjacent trial area is even more considerate: The avocado green curved wall is embedded with a mirror with a light ring, and the light is soft, warm and white, which won’t distort the makeup. Below is a marble washbasin, paired with a soft-padded stool – you can clean up immediately after trying on the lipstick without having to run outside the store to look for a restroom. That’s how the “smoothness” comes about.

Rest area

The light grey L-shaped soft-padded sofa has a slightly soft cushion that allows you to sink into a small circle when sitting on it. It’s particularly relaxing to lean on it when you get tired from walking. It comes with two small diamond-shaped checkered dunks. When not in use, they can be pushed under the sofa, which saves space and is convenient.

The small round table in the middle features a marble top and a wooden base, which echoes the material of the reception desk. A small pot of yellow flowers is placed on it, and beside it is a beauty magazine. When friends are choosing products, they can either flip through the magazine to kill time or casually try out the samples on the side.

Island Counter

The cosmetic shop central island cabinet is a “visual center + gathering place for best-selling items” : two symmetrical arc-shaped cabinets are connected together. The main body is made of matte cream-colored board, and the bottom is edged with rose gold. The arc fits the circular circulation line and will not be bumped.

The cabinet body is a four-layer open shelf: the top layer displays the seasonal limited edition makeup set boxes, neatly arranged in shallow wooden storage boxes, allowing you to see “what’s in vogue recently” at a glance. The middle two layers are small and medium-sized sample skin care products, divided into sections classified as “hydrating/Stabilizing/anti-aging”, with handwritten small labels attached, allowing even skin care beginners to quickly choose. The bottom layer is an invisible handle drawer. When pulled open, it reveals a sorted storage compartment. The “display + storage” design is neither messy nor disorganized, and it can also meet the needs of “casual browsing” and “bulk purchasing”.

Wall cabinet design

  • Practical wall cabinet (full right side)

The milky white cabinet body is embedded in the wall, and each layer has an embedded light strip, with the light just shining on the front of the product. The top “sản phẩm” signboard is framed in green, echoing the avocado green in the trial area, creating a visually unified effect. The shelves are strictly divided by type: on the left are the same series of skin care toners and essences, with uniform bottle heights and cap orientations, which look very comfortable. On the right is the makeup. Lipsticks and eyeshadows are arranged in a row in transparent boxes, with clear shades that don’t need to be removed.

  • Atmospheric wall cabinet (arched top style)

Three connected arched tops, the frame is light wood color, and there are also light strips on the inner layer. Green plants are placed on the top – on both sides are artificial vines, with branches hanging down to cover the corners of the shelves. In the middle are several white flower branches, blooming sparsely, blending in a sense of nature. The four-tiered shelves under the dome also have their own functions: skin care sets are placed on the left and right sides, with the light green bottle bodies echoing the green plants on top. In the middle are items like aromatherapy and hand cream that create a great atmosphere. As you wander around here, your pace will unconsciously slow down and your voices will become softer.

Circulation and layout

The store follows an “open but not loose” circular circulation: enter through the passage beside the entrance reception desk, first pass through the best-selling area of the central island cabinet, then go around to the classification area of the wall cabinets, and finally naturally return to the rest area – you don’t have to retrace your steps and can easily browse through each shelf.

The layout is “well-balanced in density and sparseness” : sufficient space is left in the reception area and the central island cabinet to avoid feeling cramped as soon as one enters. Although the wall cabinet area is compact, the layers are clear and the lighting is sufficient, so it won’t look messy. The rest area is located at the end of the route. When you get tired from walking around, it’s just a good place to take a break. It’s as if the “shopping rhythm” has been designed in advance, so you don’t have to rush or search.
