Dr. Jawa’s Pediatric Clinic completely broke the stereotype of traditional clinics. Pushing open the door, the soft blue-pink color wraps around the entire space like clouds. The cartoon furniture and the wall decorations full of childlike fun make it more like a children’s playground hidden in a clinic. Its design is not only aesthetically pleasing, but also uses colors, shapes, and details to quietly soothe children’s anxiety about seeing a doctor, and also allows parents to relax as well.

Clinic Design

The entry to the clinic opens directly into the parking area. In addition, the glass door has a cover featuring cartoon silhouettes of trees and children reaching for the ceiling and placing their hands on it. There are multiple decorative round, fluffy orange clouds all over the door. The name of the clinic, Dr. Jawa’s Pediatrics Clinic in a fun typeface.

Once inside, the main section of the front desk is bright blue. There are soft yellow letters next to the blue. Adjacent to the desk on the wall are light blue fluffy clouds. The shelf next to the steps includes picture books and small potted plants.

Space decoration

The main color tone of the entire clinic is a soft version of blue, pink, and yellow. There are no dazzling colors, yet they are sufficient to make the space warm and lively. The wall decoration is the biggest highlight. There are light blue trees and orange canopies on the walls of the corridor. There are also little tiger dolls lying on the branches, and even the wall clock is in the shape of clouds.

The other wall incorporates additional thoughtful original design; this time through the use of 3-dimensional blue letters forming a round emblem. At the center of the logo, there is a small tree. There are also bird representations that use both blue and white. In addition, rainbows appear on the walls of one section of the consultation room, while clouds form bookcases on another wall of that same consultation area. Inside each of these cases is an assortment of picture books and many types of stuffed animals.

Furniture

Waiting area sofa: A patchwork of light pinks & light blue soft upholstery covers a foam-filled product. Children who may run/play and bump into this item will not be injured. There is enough height to allow parents to easily sit down with their children.

Zoned fence: Has cloud-shaped patterns in blues, pinks, and yellows. Children can use the wood fence to create a separation between the waiting area and their play area, or as toys to make time while waiting less dull, more of a game.

Functional area furniture: Light gray chairs and light pink cushions for consultation rooms, with a soft texture. Handrails have smooth, rounded edges. The milk-mixing area contains a cabinet with a light blue color and a light pink countertop; the washbasins have low, rounded edges, allowing children to wash their hands independently.

Other elements

Wooden beams on the ceiling have warm light strips. It can not only make the space feel warmer but also avoid direct light. The glass partition door is frosted material and decorated with cloud and wave patterns. It is both full of childlike fun and private.

The small details in the corner are also very well thought out. The air conditioner is hidden in the wall and won’t stand out. The surveillance cameras are at a high place. Even the switch on the wall was ingeniously hidden beside the decorative painting.
