“LUXURY TOBACCO WORLD” is our latest and greatest design for Tobacco Business in the USA. This tobacco shop may not be large in size however, it has all of the luxury features one would expect to find in a luxury cigar lounge design. The moment that the customer walks through the door they will know that this store is a luxury destination because of the “LUXURY TOBACCO WORLD” sign above the door, which has raised and gilded lettering on a dark panelled wall. The raised gold lettering creates a contrast against the dark wall and communicates exclusivity in cigar lounge design.

Reception Counter

The cigar lounge reception counter is made of a polished black-veined marble base, providing balance to the room. The cashier counter also has a veneer of warm wood, which adds warmth and comfort to the marble’s coldness, thereby allowing for an open. To allow for ease of movement and comfort for staff, an elegant velvet and leather upholstered chair, with a low-profile frame constructed from metal, is located at the back of the counter. In addition, there is a polished brass pole light next to the chair to aid in focused illumination.

Display Cabinets

Floor-to-ceiling custom display cabinets are located at the entry/reception area in cigar lounge. The materials used MDF with matte wood veneer or painting color, are black in color. They were selected matte finish because they minimize reflection and highlight the straight, clean edges of the cabinet. The door of display cabinets has tempered glass with an LED strip on each shelf. The handles and hinges of the cabinet doors are gold in color, made from stainless steel. The reason for selecting stainless steel is because it does not corrode over time.

Lighting

In the ceiling above the tobacco shop hangs a spider chandelier made of black metal with multiple arms that extend outwards, with round black lampshades and exposed bulbs. The design of this chandelier exudes an elegant blend of sophisticated contemporary style and the atmospheric nature of the tobacco industry. Adjustable track lighting allows staff members to move or adjust each light fixture as needed for highlighting different shelf displays, including merchandise recently added to stock, by featured brands or product specials, as well as any new products added to their inventory.

Enclosure Cigar Display Shelf

The cigar display area is a closed-in area which limits external air from affecting internal moisture and temperature levels. The cigar display shelf with cedar or plywood with laminated finish to display cigars. Each shelf is custom designed to use an open slatted design to allow for maximum airflow to ensure that humidity is evenly distributed to the cigars. The bottom area of the wall display shelf has a slatted door design that allows for good airflow while keeping large amounts of cigars hidden. Each of the wall display shelves, are lit using silicone LED strips so that the product is illuminated without any added heat.

The concept behind designing this tobacco shop was a very intentional choice of materials and colors to represent Luxury and at the same time allow for use as a functional business. Using a predominately dark color scheme, mostly black and dark gray, gives it that club feel. By adding contrasting warm accents (golds) and wood tones we avoid the feel of it being too cold or unwelcoming. It was important that every element within the space has a purpose. Every detail—from the reception counter to the cigar display shelves—serves a purpose: to protect the quality of the product, to showcase it with sophistication.
