Island Unit Design

This gondola display stand operates as a free-standing island unit placed in the center of the retail floor, not against a wall. The unit features a central vertical panel with display shelves on both front and back faces. The base is a three-door storage cabinet in black matte finish that anchors the unit and provides concealed storage. The overall footprint measures 1200mm wide by 500mm deep, making it suitable for mid-store placement without blocking customer traffic flow.

Dual-Side Display

The defining feature of this unit is its double-sided display configuration. Each face provides seven horizontal glass shelves with integrated LED strip lighting, giving a total of 14 display levels across both sides. Customers browsing from either direction see fully stocked and illuminated product. This design effectively doubles display capacity compared to a wall-mounted unit of the same width, while occupying the same floor space. Shelves hold sunglasses and eyeglass frames using standard display rods or acrylic stands.

Build Specifications

The central display panels construct from high-density MDF with white high-gloss laminate on both faces. Shelves are 6mm clear tempered glass with polished edges. LED strip lighting installs along the underside edge of each shelf, emitting warm white light downward onto products below. The base cabinet uses black matte laminate over MDF, with three hinged doors and an adjustable interior shelf. All electrical wiring routes through the central panel to a single power outlet at the base. Metal hardware includes soft-close door hinges and adjustable floor levelers.

Store Deployment

This gondola stand fits optical retail stores, sunglass kiosk mall locations, and department store eyewear sections. It works particularly well as a center-island feature that guides customer flow through the store. Pair with wall-mounted sunglasses display racks and eyewear display counters for a complete retail layout. The base cabinet stores backup inventory, cleaning supplies, and accessories. The double-sided design allows staff to restock from either side during operating hours. Custom branding can be added to the top header area on both faces.
